Task Instructions
2. Jack the aircraft using the built-in jack points. (Jack
Aircraft.) 4. Extend the landing gear to its deployed position. If already extended, cycle the landing gear: With MASTER switch ON, move LANDING GEAR switch to UP position and allow the landing gear to retract fully. Move LANDING GEAR switch to DOWN position and allow the landing gear to extend fully. Turn MASTER switch OFF.
5. With the aircraft jacked and level, zero a digital protractor along the longer of the two pushrods.

7. Validate that the difference between the forward and aft bellcrank positions is 1.5°
a. With the weight off the nose landing gear, gently rotate the NLG bellcrank forward with moderate hand pressure. Measure the angle with a digital protractor. (See Figure 350) Record measurement. b. With the weight off the nose landing gear, gently rotate the NLG bellcrank backward with moderate hand pressure. Measure the angle with a digital protractor, taking care to take the measurement in the same location as before. Record measurement.
c. If the measured difference is greater than 1.5°, the actuator, and all mounting hardware (bushings, bolts, etc), must be replaced. (See Install
Nose Landing Gear Actuator.) Figure 350. Digital Protractor
8. Bring aircraft back to ground and remove jacks.
10. Turn on master switch and verify that in the cockpit the landing gear indicator is in the landing gear down position.
