Task Instructions
1. Using isopropyl alcohol, clean surfaces where thread sealant will be applied. Apply a generous amount of thread sealant (ICA015664) as a 360° bead to treads of optical sensor (ME001136) and install optical sensor into bottom of fuel tank.
2. Torque optical sensor to 11-13 in-lbs. Wipe away excess sealant.
3. Wrap connector with F4TAPEBLACK tape. Secure wiring for optical sensor to fuel tank using zip ties.

4. If removed, re-secure the straps:
a. Using isopropyl alcohol, clean surfaces where lubricant will be applied.
b. Apply lubricant (ICA012078) to threads and shank of fuel tank brackets.
c. Loosely secure the forward ends of the fuel tank straps to the fuel tank brackets using lubricant (ICA012078), the retained washers, and a new MS21043-4 nut.
d. While the fuel tank straps are still loose, adjust the isolation channels on both fuel tank straps as necessary in the forward and aft directions to ensure that the fuel tank strap will not contact the fuel tank surface after the straps are tensioned. Torque nuts to 10-13 in-lbs. Ensure at least one full thread is protruding from the nuts.
e. If isolation channels shifted position during the initial torque, loosen fuel tank straps, re-adjust the position of the isolation channels, and torque again. Repeat as necessary.
5. Install baggage panels, copilot seat closeout, and copilot seat back. (See Cockpit Panels Removal and Installation.)
6. Refuel tank.
Verification Method
The task is complete when the low fuel level sensor has been installed without leaks.
