Use this task to remove the 1.0 style pedal adjustment gas strut.

Task Instructions
1. Remove floorboards. (See Remove Cockpit Floorboard.)(See Remove Cockpit Floorboard.)
2. Adjust pedals to fully aft position to relieve pressure in gas strut.
3. Use pliers (and protective sleeve such as a shop towel), secure gas strut body from rotating and remove aft and forward nut with a 10mm wrench/socket.
4. Remove gas strut from aircraft.
Verification Method
Gas strut has been removed from the aircraft.
