Use the following procedure to perform the Landing Gear IPS Interface Test. This task is to be used following the installation of a new parachute, rocket, or both.

Note:
Throughout the process, take photos as required in BRS Installation Manual (020060-PM). Contact customer advocates to send photos to ICON. Steps requiring photos will be indicated.
Task Instructions
1. Use 1x temporary 8-32 thumb screw with a “Remove Before Flight” tag (or one of the 017104-01 shear screws) to temporarily attach the rocket collar to the rocket tube, on the side with the microswitch.
3. Turn on Master Switch.
4. Retract Landing Gear.

5. Lift collar off of IPS rocket.
6. Verify that the landing gear fully deploys.

7. Move landing gear switch on center stack console to landing gear down position.
8. Move landing gear switch on center stack console back to landing gear up position.
9. Verify that landing gear does not return to landing gear up position.
10. Move the landing gear switch back to the down position.
11. Re-install collar on IPS rocket using Loctite 242 and 2x shear screws. Take photo(s). Torque screws to 5 in-lbs.

CAUTION:
Use caution when installing screws. Screws are designed to shear when rocket is fired. Do not over torque.
12. Turn off Master Switch.
13. Lower aircraft to ground and remove the jacks and fuselage supports.

Checklist) Ensure the proper photo documentation is completed and provided to ICON.
